Established in 2002, Chocolate Hollow Alpaca Farm is located just outside Hershey, Pennsylvania – also known as Chocolatetown, USA. We are fortunate to enjoy the sweet smell of chocolate from the Hershey Chocolate factory while also benefiting living in a country setting. Chocolate Hollow Alpaca Farm (CHAF) encompasses 32-acres of rolling pasture, woodland and a babbling brook. The “upper barn” as it is known, houses are pregnant dams, females and crias. Four stalls spread out into generous green paddocks and pastures. The girls can conveniently access the pastures or barn as they choose.

Our love of animals brought us to this point in our lives. However, when we bought the property we had no idea that alpacas would be in our future and our hearts. In fact we didn’t know what we would do with 35 acres and, at that time, one horse. It was while we were perusing a regional newspaper and saw an article about alpacas that a light bulb went on. Several months later we were visiting a llama and alpaca show at our local fairgrounds and the rest, as they say, is history. We took one look at those big doe like eyes and fell in love. We knew right then and there our future was staring at us.

We have recently added a new facility to the farm. Known as the “lower barn” it is home to our juvenile males, geldings, and herdsires. We carefully designed the facility to comfortably house up to 40 animals in five stalls and accessible paddocks. The lower barn is also home to Max, Rachel’s Thoroughbred and Charlie, our companion horse. We have a tack / vet room and future farm store space.

Our farm is open for tours. Please call to schedule a visit and come learn more about the wonderful lifestyle of alpacas.
